Member Benefits

THEF is a local chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) serving central and northeastern North Carolina. Our membership is comprised of nearly 700 local healthcare executives interested in meeting healthcare professionals and sharing their experience and solutions to use in their day-to-day business environment. Current members work in a variety of settings including hospitals, physician practices, IPA’s, health plans, consulting firms, pharmaceutical companies, technology development firms, nursing homes, state/county health departments, universities and other areas of the healthcare industry.

  • Local chapter membership is included as a benefit to all members of ACHE. Only ACHE affiliates are eligible to hold membership in chapters.

  • You are a member of THEF if you are a member of ACHE in the THEF chapter service region.

  • Membership in THEF is AUTOMATIC and FREE when you join ACHE or move to the chapter service region from another ACHE chapter area. No separate application or fees are needed, and you are automatically added to THEF’s news and mailing list.

Retiring?

ACHE offers two retired status memberships. Retired status membership is free or at a reduced rate, depending on your ACHE membership status at the time of retirement. 

Life StatusLife status is available to current Fellows who are retired (or semi-retired working less than three days per week) and who have 25 years of combined membership at the Member, Fellow and/or Retired level. With Life Status, you can add LFACHE after your name to reflect your long time support of ACHE. You are entitled to all rights and privileges of ACHE membership (except serving as an elected official). Life status membership is free of charge, and includes a complimentary subscription to Healthcare Executive magazine. If you choose to continuing receiving other ACHE mailings beyond the complimentary subscription to Healthcare Executive, a $75 annual fee will apply.

Retired StatusRetired status is available to current Members and Fellows who are retired (or semi-retired working less than three days per week), and have been an ACHE member for less than 25 years. Retired status allows for continuation of all rights and privileges of ACHE membership (except serving as an elected official) at a reduced rate of $75 annually.

Non-members are welcome to attend chapter events. If you would like to be added to the chapter’s non-member mailing list to be notified of future programs and events, please subscribe.

SUBSCRIBE

We encourage new members from outside traditional hospital employers, such as insurers/managed care organizations, consulting groups, group practice management, current students of health administration programs, etc.
