The Triangle Healthcare Executives' Forum of North Carolina (THEF) chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) cordially invites you to a networking and education event on the topic of 'Improving the Health Status of Your Community'. The evening includes two panel discussions, dinner with beer/wine, and a special presentation.

Panel 1 - Addressing Community Behavioral Health Needs

Many of those struggling with multiple chronic physical health conditions also have co-occurring mental health conditions.This discussion explores 1) integrating care (physical health and behavioral health) as key factor in success, and 2) improving outcomes by simultaneously addressing social determinants of health.

Dinner Presentation - Healthy Living Challenge – Influencing Healthy Behaviors in Low-Income Communities

Presenters:

Aditi Borde, MHA/MBA Candidate (May 2020), Gillings School of Global Public Health & Kenan-Flagler Business School, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

Aditi earned her Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Before going back to graduate school, she worked as a medical scribe in the Emergency Department at UNC Hospitals and as a full-time research coordinator at the Institute for Trauma Recovery with UNC Department of Anesthesiology Research. Last summer, she interned at Deloitte as a strategy and operations summer associate, where she worked on an electronic health record implementation at a large health system. Aditi is a dual degree candidate pursuing her Masters of Health Administration (MHA) and Masters of Business Administration (MBA) at UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health and UNC Kenan Flagler Business School.

 

Jacqueline Gerhart, MS, PhD Candidate, Eshelman School of Pharmacy, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

Jacqueline (Jackie) earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Biomedical Engineering at Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. She worked in various roles across the drug development pipeline for over five years as a scientist at GlaxoSmithKline. Jackie is currently pursuing her PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences at UNC's Eshelman School of Pharmacy, where her research focuses on using modeling and simulation techniques to determine safe and effective drug doses in children with obesity.
